AgriHub Agricultural Scholarship

Since 2022, AgriHub Agriculture Scholarship has helped young people follow their dreams and fostered passion for careers in agriculture. The program awards scholarships to two post-secondary students pursuing agriculture programs in Western Canada every year. With each edition, we hear from students about their involvement in their communities and their aspirations for a future in the industry we love.

The scholarship is one more way AgriHub gives back to our communities, helping to ensure a healthy industry and prosperity for decades to come.

The Darrel K Penner Scholarship

AgriHub Inc. will be offering five scholarships of $1250 each for the 2023/2024 academic year. Candidates from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario are eligible to apply. Scholarship applications will open on March 15th, 2023 and close on June 15th, 2023.

What Information is Needed?

Beyond the school and program you will attend, provide us with some insight into your agricultural background as well as your career plan.

Community Involvement

Tell us if you have been involved in your community and how. 4H clubs, associations, volunteering, etc.

Criteria

The program must be 2 years full-time or remote learning, mature students are encouraged to apply.

Attending School

Proof of acceptance.

Agricultural Background

Sector involvement, job experience, farm life, etc.

Agricultural Career Path

On farm, technical, trade or business related schooling/training.

Career Information

Using a minimum of 500 words, please describe why you want to pursue a post-secondary education in Agriculture. Please include details about your future career plans.
